Ever hear of a spell check or a proof read?
What really bugs me about movies on Newgrounds is that so many people just get to the end or close to the end of their flash movie and just say to themselves "okay! It's done! Quickly to upload it!"
A simple spell check or a proof read would alert you to several major errors.
In this movie, "there" was used where "their" should have been used. A simple grammatical error such as this goes to show the uncaring attitude the author portrays.
More effort and you could have some high scores, your art isn't half bad.
"for the love of god animate something funny or violent against humans next time. that just totally killed my buzz"
Wow, doesn't that say something about our society? We'd rather see I person killed, than a dog killed. I won't deny it, I feel the same way. Seeing an animal going through pain is very distressing, and not seen all too often in movies or on TV. Human pain and suffering however, we see in excessive amounts. Enough to desensitize us to feel any remorse over a human who has been blown up.
In real life, however, if it were a life and death situation, a human's life is worth much more than any animal's life, and the general populace knows that. In the media however, we tend to think the opposite... Strange how desensitized we've all become.
That said, I really liked the art and animation in this flash movie. For what it's worth, I do believe this style is one of the more advanced and profound here on Newgrounds.
Keep up the good work, but, in the future, less violence - toward anyone, man or beast - would be better for probably all of us in the long run.
holy cow man,
love the frame by frame, i can appreciate the amount of work you put into this. but by the time this was over, i TOTALLY got out my old "smash" record by the Offspring. thanks for rekindling this classic punk record for me!
Ban Comic Sans!
I really liked this movie, having once upon a time played CS. However, I didn't really get a good sense of 'story' from this movie, if there was intended to be one.
Although you followed the story of the in-game scenario, I thought it could've been embelished on a little more. Most know that the terrorists plant the bomb and try to gaurd it, but you maybe could have introduced some more antics into the action.
DE_dust was always my favourite level, so I enjoyed that. The animation was not bad, considering they were sticks. I just thought you could have introduced more emotion into each player, give the audience something to root for, etc. That would make a good animation, a good movie.
Other than that, the only thing I can say is, please, for the love of graphic designers everywhere, myself included,
BAN COMIC SANS!
overall, not bad
i always like to see some good frame by frame animation, but i also have a few tips for use in the future
i enjoyed the idea of the wind blowing the jackets in the wind, but it seemed a little overused, and your understanding of the wind's effect on the jackets itself needs to be further explored. i recommend taping or watching a video frame by frame of the wind's "whip" effect on a garment of some sort, that might give you a better indication of which part of the clothing whips, and when
the drawing itself was quite good, except near the end, where there are a few quick cuts from the weapon to the bullet. those could have been cleaned up quite a bit
a little inconsistant as far as length of cut. i noticed myself getting really interested in a clip, and then in others i was almost getting bored of seeing it too long. minimize the length of some of the longer ones, and of the ones with alot of detail, use them some more, but try not to pan so slowly
i really enjoyed the clip where the bullets passed eachother in midair at extreme slow motion. the spark was quite a nice touch, and something quite original. if you push that envelope some more, i think you could come up with quite a few more great ideas in your scenes
all in all, i think the best part of the movie itself was the ending sequence. the pull-back establishing shot (mainly used at the beginning of a movie to lay groundwork,) was used here during the final scene with the sunset. it was effective, and the mixture of colours was quite nice as well. i like the gradients, and perhaps with a little more time, those type of colours could be developed into your characters, or even a backdrop while the outline characters are fighting
you have some good ideas, but they need further development. keep working hard as you obviously did in this project and you'll improve quite quickly
thanks for the tip! That was my first frame by frame, I appreciate the time you took to type that :)
YOur reign of the top is finished in fact it never began
I was so B-O-R-E-D OUT of my mind that i didn't watch it alll i think i would have enjoyed watching my computer de-frag rather than defiling myself with the terrible CLAK SHITE
i actually on the otherhand like clock movies... for the most part. for this part, i did not. you can take it two ways.
way 1: suck
way 2: terrible
truely i was dissapointed by your effort. i recommend you all go to planet hollywood and eat.

do you ever watch "friends"?
they are good friends.
we are good friends?
in all honesty, i thought your movie was excellent for the size of it and it made me laugh with it, not at it.

very very impressed
how refreshing to see some excellent excellent animation on newgrounds.
often you'll see people will have made awesome complex drawings and then the animation is sketchy and not natural looking.
your drawings for the most part are simple yet graphical, but the inbetweenings look stunning.
having been going to college these last few months and taking a graphic design course, i can truely say that these animation intricicies are quite well regarded, and the extra effort on your part goes quite admired.
i noticed this particularily in the bouncing of the three fish under the water. very well done.
i'm not the biggest Rammstein fan, but the music did go quite well with your composition.
another excellent detail, although not matching the rest of your video, the ending with the use of positive and negitive space is quite well done. simple graphic forms indicate a figure with a guitar against a wall, quite good.
i'll be looking foreward to any future flash endeavors by you dekuscrub.
it's a passing grade...
i love your animation skills. the drawings look like they took you a long time, and the different camera angles show a good sense of cinematography
however, i get the sense that you got to the end and then just wanted to quickly finish it up. the ending wasn't that magnificent, but what i really disliked were the sounds and the music.
the music doesn't even repeat well where it's supposed to, and the sound effects cut out before the reverberation would naturally take it.
take more time with your sounds, because i love your animation and it would compliment your work.
Thank You! I know I got shitty with the
music but I don't know how to loop wit
MX professional! Also, you were right, I
rushed the ending because my trial ended!
looks very professional, good sound and timing, but this was not funny at all.
this is a comedy cartoon, but the humour was so few and far between i wouldn't even call this a comedy. horror movies have better humour.
anyway, i don't know if you're running out of comic ideas or what, but keep up the good work on the sound and graphics.
